Its eponyms are Ss. Thomas Becket and Thomas More, both of whom are celebrated martyrs in the Roman Catholic Church and both of whom willingly gave their lives for a higher cause—that is, Truth itself (or Himself). In the spirit of its namesakes, Becket More courageously confronts corrupt, contemptible authorities and speaks truth to power; even more, it assists its fellow faithful to do likewise through the personal empowerment enshrined in the prophetic promise of the Protoevangelium (Genesis 3:15).
